In the beginning, the Universe was extremely hot and dense, but over time it began to cool and expand. Space filled with <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proton" rel="wikipedia" title="Proton">protons</a>, <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron" rel="wikipedia" title="Neutron">neutrons</a> and <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron" rel="wikipedia" title="Electron">electrons</a>, which are the building blocks of <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atom" rel="wikipedia" title="Atom">atoms</a>. Over hundreds of thousands of years, stable atoms of hydrogen and <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helium" rel="wikipedia" title="Helium">helium</a> evolved. These atoms then massed together in clouds called <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebula" rel="wikipedia" title="Nebula">nebulae</a>.<br />

It is composed of a pair of lesser galaxies, which are in the process of merging into each other. These visually enthralling galaxies are located in the Ophiuchus Constellation, at a distance of roughly 400 million light-years from Earth. Ophiuchius is other wise known as the "Serpent Holder". The galaxies will eventually merge completely together within some tens, to hundreds of millions of years. When this finally happens, it is thought that the two giant black holes within these galaxies will drift toward one another, formaing an even bigger black hole.Jack Sparrow 007http://www.blogger.com/profile/17663926729530613341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492569216200405231.post-89374818532097515312009-12-08T08:10:00.000-08:002009-12-08T08:17:36.575-08:00Mayall's Object<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:130%;">ARP 148<br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><br /></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6gbZ03zm5Elx5dwlQEZBGd5GjTn3G-CTkKtcWNCBuurU_Z7Ngsqm2D5dIDFmJ7A_lr5-iOyYpGU7bnZzt4hmxiZhVjozMzqLT_1YKSWR9OF_ibEMAZyuYh162dIVUsZX6uIgMBxKu6DI/s1600-h/arp148-mayalls-object.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 445px; height: 445px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6gbZ03zm5Elx5dwlQEZBGd5GjTn3G-CTkKtcWNCBuurU_Z7Ngsqm2D5dIDFmJ7A_lr5-iOyYpGU7bnZzt4hmxiZhVjozMzqLT_1YKSWR9OF_ibEMAZyuYh162dIVUsZX6uIgMBxKu6DI/s400/arp148-mayalls-object.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5412899962806987186" border="0" /></a><br /></div>Arp 148, cutely nicknamed Mayall's object, is the remains of a collision between two <span style="font-weight: bold;">galaxies</span>, what followed, was the formation of a circular ring galaxy and a long streak which is the other galaxy. The collision between the two original galaxies cause a shockwave which pulled matter into the central core, which subsequently caused it to expand into the ring shape you can see before you. Arp 148 is situated in Ursa Major,otherwise known as "the Great Bear" (Ursa means bear in Latin, and Major means larger), Arp148 is approximately 500 million light-years from Earth.Jack Sparrow 007http://www.blogger.com/profile/17663926729530613341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492569216200405231.post-77999379148749303542009-12-08T07:16:00.000-08:002009-12-08T07:42:03.060-08:00Large anomalous objects in Space<h2>Large objects filmed in space</h2><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxcPNBK_jjE2nzB_cpy43r8dr3VF7OmAlEcV2aA5DOtzkKetQG_XVbILVTajo1sY0N3-WjECiLmarCU15dnzeL8lHMVAWDe1EaQBBxdA4eU9D1tdqwyDUw-7qdLlo4xRpWLW28uiabBXY/s1600-h/f.a.s.t..jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxcPNBK_jjE2nzB_cpy43r8dr3VF7OmAlEcV2aA5DOtzkKetQG_XVbILVTajo1sY0N3-WjECiLmarCU15dnzeL8lHMVAWDe1EaQBBxdA4eU9D1tdqwyDUw-7qdLlo4xRpWLW28uiabBXY/s400/f.a.s.t..jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5412890636993523266" border="0" /></a><br />Enigmatic Video footage of anomalous objects using special high speed telescopic video photography by John Lenard Walson<br /><p align="center"><embed src="http://blip.tv/play/yzWvsi8C" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="300"></embed> </p><br /><br /><p align="center"><embed src="http://blip.tv/play/yzWZ5CUC" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="422"></embed> </p><br /><br /><p align="center"><OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab" id="Player_a72717b7-36fa-4e1a-8aa1-04b0e90c57ba" WIDTH="500px" HEIGHT="175px"> <PARAM NAME="movie" VALUE="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fsakyanthabudt-20%2F8010%2Fa72717b7-36fa-4e1a-8aa1-04b0e90c57ba&Operation=GetDisplayTemplate"><PARAM NAME="quality" VALUE="high"><PARAM NAME="bgcolor" VALUE="#FFFFFF"><PARAM NAME="allowscriptaccess" VALUE="always"><embed src="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fsakyanthabudt-20%2F8010%2Fa72717b7-36fa-4e1a-8aa1-04b0e90c57ba&Operation=GetDisplayTemplate" id="Player_a72717b7-36fa-4e1a-8aa1-04b0e90c57ba" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" name="Player_a72717b7-36fa-4e1a-8aa1-04b0e90c57ba" allowscriptaccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" align="middle" height="175px" width="500px"></embed></OBJECT> <NOSCRIPT><A HREF="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fsakyanthabudt-20%2F8010%2Fa72717b7-36fa-4e1a-8aa1-04b0e90c57ba&Operation=NoScript">Amazon.com Widgets</A></NOSCRIPT></p><br /><br /><p align="center"><embed src="http://blip.tv/play/yzWn2SUC" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed> </p><br /><br /><p align="center"><embed src="http://blip.tv/play/yzWn%2BngC" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed> </p><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Large objects in Space</span><br /><br /><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/A3-4F_q38JY&hl=en_GB&fs=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/A3-4F_q38JY&hl=en_GB&fs=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Links;</span><br /><a href="http://farabovespaceandtime.com/">Far above Space and Time</a><br /><a href="http://www.abovespaceandtime.blip.tv/">Blip TV F.A.S.T. With the lainching of Webb in 2014, it is expected that a host of new discoveries will flood in, increasing our awareness and understanding of the workings of our amazing Universe<br /><br />Once launched and beginniing it's mission, we shall be able to see a myriad of objects which have till now been invisible to us, revealing some of our Universe's longest kept secrets<br />Link; <a href="http://internal.hubblesite.org/webb_telescope/">Hubblesite</a>Jack Sparrow 007http://www.blogger.com/profile/17663926729530613341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492569216200405231.post-78858024689615294572009-07-31T03:45:00.000-07:002009-08-23T12:27:00.762-07:00dwarf galaxy NGC 1569<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTWq5iNDUrvbYeIG5pQupQKfLOvHq490e5V8BNahObzlUlXS3AONraqL6hxVg4gshk-jPM-OAr0l1t9UBDsHlOZrhQgQ14ew8e9j0F1O9XBAvwai8Vq12AWC2iO2bXcVxQJPooKL9Zqkg/s1600-h/dwarf+galaxy+NGC+1569.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 292px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTWq5iNDUrvbYeIG5pQupQKfLOvHq490e5V8BNahObzlUlXS3AONraqL6hxVg4gshk-jPM-OAr0l1t9UBDsHlOZrhQgQ14ew8e9j0F1O9XBAvwai8Vq12AWC2iO2bXcVxQJPooKL9Zqkg/s400/dwarf+galaxy+NGC+1569.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5364574078657302242" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">NGC 1569 </span> is a hive of star birth activity, emitting huge bubbles and super-bubbles that permeate the main mass of <span style="font-weight: bold;">NGC 1569</span>. The outflow of gas from NGC 1569 has been studied in great detail. The collision of this fast moving wall of gas with a stationary cloud has heated it causing it to glow in visible as well as high energy radiation, producing the nebula known as the Cygnus Loop (NGC 6960/95). The nebula is located about 2500 light-years away. <br /><br />The colors used here indicate emission from different kinds of atoms excited by the shock: oxygen-blue, sulfur-red, and hydrogen-green. This picture was taken with the Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 on board the Hubble Space Telescope.<br />Info Source; <a href="http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap990725.html">NASA</a><br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVxmxWrDUlPF1N39WVQPV6DsiDbEg9z-7oT8lIdSxsGDL-E-_tIkAOIuV5YEXiXnbbBn9Sde97a9zi3B_0gdGD5kg6hyhpgGnJsmex9ZJosCqD2TvqSEDps00AuDd1x-hOYaeGdKZjvq4/s1600-h/CygnusLoopSupernovaHubble.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 219px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVxmxWrDUlPF1N39WVQPV6DsiDbEg9z-7oT8lIdSxsGDL-E-_tIkAOIuV5YEXiXnbbBn9Sde97a9zi3B_0gdGD5kg6hyhpgGnJsmex9ZJosCqD2TvqSEDps00AuDd1x-hOYaeGdKZjvq4/s400/CygnusLoopSupernovaHubble.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5364564988839169810" border="0" /></a><br /></div><br /><br /><p align="center"><br /><OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab" id="Player_7696d46a-45ba-4696-b45f-1d85e58c3b16" WIDTH="500px" HEIGHT="180px"> <PARAM NAME="movie" VALUE="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fsakyanthabudt-20%2F8010%2F7696d46a-45ba-4696-b45f-1d85e58c3b16&Operation=GetDisplayTemplate"><PARAM NAME="quality" VALUE="high"><PARAM NAME="bgcolor" VALUE="#FFFFFF"><PARAM NAME="allowscriptaccess" VALUE="always"><embed src="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fsakyanthabudt-20%2F8010%2F7696d46a-45ba-4696-b45f-1d85e58c3b16&Operation=GetDisplayTemplate" id="Player_7696d46a-45ba-4696-b45f-1d85e58c3b16" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" name="Player_7696d46a-45ba-4696-b45f-1d85e58c3b16" allowscriptaccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" align="middle" WIDTH="500px" HEIGHT="180px"></embed></OBJECT> <NOSCRIPT><A HREF="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fsakyanthabudt-20%2F8010%2F7696d46a-45ba-4696-b45f-1d85e58c3b16&Operation=NoScript">Amazon.com Widgets</A></NOSCRIPT></p>Damianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00477140123625416351noreply@blogger.com0
